Credits rolling on Remnant 2 for the first time since launch... in Co-op this time!
Game's still fun, but the DLCs and post-launch changes have definitely doubled down on the game being a power fantasy dressed up as a souls-like.
Which isn't a bad thing, mind you.

Yes, but not really. The focus of Souls-likes is shifted almost exclusively to the combat rather than the exploration. The difficulty of the combat can also almost always mitigated by acknowledging and engaging with the game's gimmicks/mechanics.

It's weird too because I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be disclosed on the Steam page, but nope.

The only upside to this design is that they went back to the smoother metal plates from Riolu, so you could easily hug this version of Lucario without accidentally impaling yourself.

I'm gonna come right out and say it.
I really don't like the new Lucario Mega Evolution design. The shark tail is weird, the hair bits are even more of a visual mess than the old Mega and the chest fur was turned into a weird dress with shorts underneath (and a shark tail? why even?)

Yeah... as we've seen before, HYV's audience will sell their own mothers for two extra pulls (and review bomb a fucking calculator app if they don't get it as seen with the anniversary event).

Found where my original Remnant 2 save from launch ended up. Slapped it in the Steam folders and everything worked perfectly.
Think some stuff got changed/reset with the DLCs, but it's largely how I remember leaving it.

The one Monday I don't have leftovers from the weekly errand running with Saya is the night I get hungry due to a pizza-related post.

Off-screening notes for Castlevania this week:
Got a couple of new team members prepped right before their final evolutions (you didn't miss much with the previous forms). Also got the remaining Phlogiston needed (as far as I know). A few of the other rare materials are dodging me though.

Bah, looks like I deleted my old save from Remnant 2 from before I got the Steam version. Debating on if I actually want to go back through unlocking all the base-game classes or just downloading a save for that.

Debating on how much I want to do off-stream on Remnant. There's a whole bunch of side stuff I could potentially do like Survival Mode that'd unlock extra gearing options and cosmetics, but I'm admittedly worried about my brain hyperfixating as it is prone to do.

Did a bit of off-screening on Remnant, mainly doing an Adventure Mode run on Earth since I couldn't find the last Glowing Rod for the armor vault on Rhom.
Got lucky there and managed to get the full Twisted Armor set and the Twisted Idol (which reduces carry weight so we're not flopping anymore).

And nothing but The Slop will use above 8gb still, more than likely.

I've been meaning to get back to the Dungeon Crawler mode for a while now and recent disappointment via a few other games gave me the perfect excuse.

Yeah, I figured that out within the first hour... it also gives you points a LOT easier for the weapon type your digimon's aligned with. I made the mistake of switching to a higher damage katana early on Veemon and got zero points for twenty minutes. Switched back to sword and got 8 in five.

See, that makes sense... though I almost wish they'd just had it as a miss popup instead of a guard since that would've made it click in my brain a lot easier.
