I usually look at Airbnb, vrbo or booking. Best location and I look at reviews regarding a “comfortable bed”. Then I narrow it down to price vs experience. So each place it’s different. We’ve had some really cool locations & views over the years!
I also use google maps, you can find gems that way!

Both! We have plans in for a Scotland/Ireland trip Aug‘25 & New Zealand Nov‘25 both of those are planned with others but we also decided not long ago that we want to do New Years in Melbourne in 4 weeks & this week we decided to extend that trip to WA for 4 nights. Booked everything yesterday 🗺️
