That the staff were informed of this devastating decision on the same day that the government announced the scrapping of the EBacc, which will hopefully go some way to restoring (albeit gradually) numbers of pupils studying music in schools, is an extra kick in the teeth.
Were it not for my time at/in Nottingham, I wouldn't have my degree, my diploma, my business/career, most of my orchestral, chamber and choral education and experience, or many friends and colleagues.
