The GlassEffectContainer component is neat.👌

Ideal for onboarding or multi-step processes.

Before becoming a dad, I feared losing motivation once I became a parent.

The reality is quite the opposite. I've never been more productive since becoming a dad. Whenever I have a few spare minutes, I dedicate them to my side projects.

What did I do with my free time before? I have no idea.

At first, I thought, “Oh, finally Apple implemented the touch cursor when recording a video in iOS 26. That’s neat!”

Then I realized it only happens inside the Linear app… 😅

They implemented it themselves! Genius! 👏

TIL you can submit the form to ask Apple to feature your app even if it’s still a WIP, since you can provide a TestFlight link.

Has anyone ever done this?

I'm rushing to finish an app I started in January for the iOS 26 release.

I won't finish it a month in advance to ask Apple to potentially feature it (their recommended notice period), but I'll have time to reach out to journalists at least 2 weeks in advance.

It almost always improves my initial ideas into something that really makes sense.

I'm considering integrating an AI feature into usetype.app just to see if it increases downloads.

What about transcribing a note using AI from anywhere on your Mac (without relying on a third-party tool)? 🎙️

Accessed through a second global shortcut, saving results in your selected note.

When I started working on my new app, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of work.

In those moments, I try to trust the process and build a bit more every day, bit by bit.

Until I reach the point where I’m like, "Holy cow! I have a fully functional app now!"

I'm working on the paywall this week.

Given everything I've read about paywalls so far, I'm thinking about implementing a hard paywall.

Mostly because I don't want / don't have the time to deal with a free limited version.

I just hope it won't hurt my ranking too much.

Back from a break, and ready for a big challenge.

I've been working on a new app for 3 months now, here and there, during my free time.

But I want to accelerate the process, so I'm setting a challenge to publish the app by May 15th, even if it's not perfect!

I was a bit disappointed to see that I didn't gain many impressions after localizing usetype.app.

Then, a few days ago, I realized I hadn't localized the first screenshot in the Mac App Store. 🤦‍♂️

The headline remained in English for all languages. 😬

What macOS app would you recommend for generating captions for a video? 🤔

When I discuss AI tools with my developer friends, the conversation invariably boils down to this:

"Yeah, but aren't you worried about losing your skills over time by just copy-pasting AI-generated code?"

I'm not worried for senior developers, but definitely for juniors.

I'm introducing a new feature in usetype.app 1.5: Always Stay on Top.

Since it adds an extra button to the main interface, I've included an option to display it only when active.

Aiming to keep the app as clean as possible. 👌

As much as I'm proud to have my app localized in multiple languages, having to update translations and screenshots with every update is really annoying. 😩

Time to refresh the settings in usetype.app.

I'm now using NavigationSplitView and the `switch` toggle style.

Feels more modern! ✨

Cutting features to keep only the most important ones is a skill. ✂️

I initially crafted what I believed to be a small scope for my MVP, yet I keep finding myself removing items.

It's a constant work in progress. 🛠️
