On a related note, I know KL/AF J-class flights can be < 60K so does it make sense to wait to see what happens when the flight I prefer is 107K? I have 80-90K FB miles already so would xfer rest from URs w/bonus. Just seems wasteful if the price were to go down? Is there an angle I'm missing?

Thanks for the input. It lands IAH at 1325. Not sure i could make the 1435 to MEM with a checked bag but even the 1620 flight gets me home at a decent hour.

@onemileatatime.com @tebfunk.bsky.social found a KLM flight OTP-AMS-IAH for next October that seems nice but only 1-hour layover and I know there have been delays when connecting there. Would have a checked bag and a separate positioning ticket to get home from IAH. Thoughts?

Not a suggestion about the above topic but it would be nice to be able to distinguish which blog produced a particular post. On your Twitter posts there's a line below the photo stating which blog it's from but the one here just has the dlvr.it line. May be a BlueSky thing & nothing you can change.

Yeah and an excessive heat warning that lasted from Thursday morning to 9 pm last night. Heat index in the 100s. Of course it's golf tourney week so that's the norm. We usually get a huge t-storm that week too but not this year.

More fun than my Friday night spent in a hotel as a capacitor in mt AC unit failed and it was 88F inside my house at 7 pm. Fixed today, thank goodness.

After fostering him for 4 months, today Braxton went home with his forever family! He is a sweet boy and I will miss him but I am so glad he's got a permanent home!
