Hey there! I’m Adrian :) 🏳️‍🌈 I’m supposed to be a software engineer, but it's been hellish so instead my new specific interest is TTRPGs! Apart from that, big gamer, big reader and atm watching Star Trek among other more normal stuff! Voilà!

The logo and title from the Stonetop RPG rulebook.

The #ttrpg that's been at the top of my wish list for years is about to finally release, so I wanted to give a brief plug for "Stonetop" so other people who find it as exciting as I do can get in on what might be a limited print run. 1/

Enter the Metadungeon - Rowan, Rook and Decard Fifty years of roleplaying games. One impossibly massive basement. Even infinity doesn’t have enough room to hold it all.  The DIE Metadungeon is intruding upon our reality. We’ve played roleplaying g...

If you want more details, here's RRD's blogpost, which gives you all the high concept delirium, of a dungeon which takes you from the proto-D&D to the edgy 90s to the modern scene. Frankly, this is a dungeon where edition wars turn extremely literal.

11. Grimwild

One of the D&D replacement. Maybe it's too much newer ideas with weird naming, not enough examples or something, but I still have trouble understanding the game.

And it's for me very rare to need like a 3rd reading to feel somewhat ready to run a one shot. Maybe to try as a player?

10. Rapscallion

A PbtA game of pirates and magic! Really liked the concept, less horror than Pirate Borg. Pirates are flawed and pretty much toxic in that game, that was fun.

The book by itself is too much. Lots of stuff, not always useful and with repetition. One shot I did went really well!

9. Heart: The City Beneath

Probably one of my favorite TTRPG ever, great ideas, super cool layout and art, fun to read and to play, just amazing. And I don't even like horror usually

Just waiting on the newest supplement before I start the Dagger in the Heart campaign sometime soon next year!

8. For Small Creatures Such As We

A great solo/coop sci-fi RPG, where you're the captain of an starship and its alien crew, with mini games and rules for almost every career you can imagine in the galaxy

Really liked this one, can be a bit big sometimes, but you can parse at the pace of your game

7. CBR+PNK: you're a merc in a cyberpunk world and this is your last job (you swear). A super condensed forged in the dark game, full of explosive rules and great layout

My biggest issue with it is it might be too condensed If you're not familiar enough with Blades in the Dark :/

6. Pirate Borg!

As all Borg games, a work of art, but can be quite difficult to read. Rare games I had to reread twice to get, and I still feel uncomfortable to run it

But everything else is here, the art, the vibes, the ideas, really still excited to run that game next year :)

Designing Dungeons Course The landing page for the Designing Dungeons course.

I LOVE the idea of a daily writing prompt. I did #dungeon23 —this project eventually went on to be a dungeon for HIS MAJESTY THE WORM (link 🔽). For the past few months, I've been writing a hex a day.

If you want to do a #dungeon25, let me recommend:

Cover for Coriolis The Great Dark on kickstarter. We can see an astronaut with an almost pirate-from-the-19e look, pistol and sword in hands. Behind, an asteroid made city. The whole thing is painted with paint brushes like strokes, full of dark nuances and golden light A gigantic ship hovers a on foot expedition with a rover/tank. They're exploring what seems to be a ruin on a plain. The painting effect is still here, light coming from behind the ship and descending over the ruins Page extract. The page itself is a white/beige color, almost like a if parchment paper was made modern. A astronaut in a deep see diver like suit is holding a lantern and a staff, a bird perched upon it. The astronaut and their equipment are all in black nuances, the lantern emits a orange golden light, but the background is full of violent blob of red paints, contrasting with the human form

Today we're talking Coriolis, both "editions" but mostly The Great Dark

One of the most beautiful book (PDF) I've read this year. The vibes are here, the art is beautiful, I love the layout and design, it's just *chef's kiss*

That's one game I would be excited to run next year if possible!

Looking for big-scale RPG/LARP suggestions!

For the first time, I'm gonna have 11 of the players from my home RPG games under my roof at the same time. What should we play?

A white and grey picture of a city, from above, with the DEADLINE A CLOCKWORK PRESS title on top of it, in white. The logo of the game is the tip of a fountain pen in a circle The presentation of the game in the format of a newspaper, black and white with bits of red. Two characters, in 19th century-like clothes have newspapers. The text itself says

Deadline, A Clockwork Press

Forge a city shrouded in the hiss and grind of steam-powered industry.
Where the shadows seethe with political corruption and the embers of rebellion smoulder

Where arcane whispers, subtle and sinister, curl through every crooked alley and fog-drenched street

Deadline - A Clockwork Press is a news-chronicling and map-making game where players take on the role of a journalist for the a news publishing house in the city.

The city itself? Think about Dishonored or Arcane, a steampunk+light magic city on the verge of a disaster

Cool game to play in solo!

The cover of the book. A somewhat 80/90s anime vibe, with an astronaut on the front, eyes on the reader, behind a moon/planet, and the classic sci-fi effect of stars being traits of light when you navigate through space at faster-than-light speeds

The whole cover has like a purple-pinkish like filter on it, and the title is a capital ASTROPRISMA, the o having a ring around it like a planet, and the last A a chromatic aberration effect, like multiple different colored A superposed, like a glitch effect

Astroprisma ! A solo RPG set in a post-apocalyptic and retrofuturistic world, with space exploration, ship and on foot battles, factions and lots of cool mechanics

Really amazing, full of colors with a great retro vibe. Not always easy to reference without dissecting the PDF at the time of reading

The 3D mockup of the game in the webstore. It's a blue-purple book, with a bright and blue lake in the center of the cover, circled by some clock with esoteric symbols replacing the numbers. Some humanoid form is floating over the lake. Some weird fauna can be seen around the lake.

The book itself is in a black slipcase with the symbol/logo of the game printed in red, and it is accompanied by another black book with the name of the game in bright purple (which I'm guessing might be the art book?) Bright and blue lake in the center, with a weirdly colored circle wave. Some humanoid form is floating over the lake. Some weird fauna can be seen around the lake, like a weirdly organic and fleshy grass and trees Post image

Still with Monte Cook Games, the Wellspring! A supplement and series of introduction scenarios for Invisible Sun

I think it's great, it's stuffed with cool ideas, great art and practical handouts. You can always use it if you're already playing!

The quality of the PDF is through the roof as usual
