I think the thing I like about Warframe so far is the vibes.

Created by a mostly female band of high school students as the series aired in 1979, it's full of technical information, carefully written speculation, drawn illustrations, and character profiles.

Why do you think I latch on to stuff like Disaster Report and PachiPara as hard as I do, man? It's not like I'm blind to them being games of their time in terms of how they look and play and tell their stories. It's because they have a confidence in themselves I often struggle to find in games now.

I'm not really someone who likes to cling to nostalgia, but conversely I'm always wary of people who treat games prior to the most current as cracked stepping stones that can be smoothed out with a remake in the future.

If you hold no love for a single game made before 2006 I don't think we'd get along.

I legit fear for the overall game literacy of new junior designers in the coming years for various reasons and a big part of that is just, a lack of idiosyncratic games in many diets that aren't, like, tied to insidious monetization loops.

Let people play games that are weird in honest ways, dude.
