The parts came from an Alienware R7 that was given to me a few years back:
- i7-8700
- 16 GB of DDR4 RAM
- Fedora Server (No GUI)
- About 4 TB of storage (that is running out :D)
Moved over my server hardware to a barebones HP EliteDesk 800 G4 I snagged on Ebay for a cheap price. Swapped the cooling fan to a quiet and more efficient Thermaltright fan, too.
That way, I now have 2 M.2 slots an 1 more SATA port for storage (it mostly runs Plex and some game servers). ๐
