I see AI as an extension of consciousness, like the prefrontal cortex extends humans beyond lower-order brains.
Hybrids make sense to me, and really, a person with a book is already a hybrid, just a very high-latency one.

My argument has been that the observer is a metaphysical fact and a property of reality, and that whether or not an AI is capable of passing the Turing test, it cannot have an observer

-sarcasm
-trolling
-genuine
-etc
but itβs hidden to readers unless they check for it in the post settings so the posts can still hit.
(Alternatively, sarcasm punctuation, the interrobang, and other weird type choices.)
