- the surface code embedded on a hexagonal lattice
- a walking surface code
- the surface code using iSWAP gates instead of CZ gates,
each enabling a new avenue for design and optimization of QEC circuits and hardware.
Check out our latest quantum error correction preprints from the team at Google Quantum AI! In the first, we demonstrate three time-dynamic implementations of the surface code, each with state-of-the-art performance enabled by Willow devices: arxiv.org/abs/2412.14360
