ah so it is translating it rather than saying it as it should be

and it is true!

"apply to connected pixels only" with the magic wand, in photoshop this is the contiguous/noncontiguous select box, but it means if i select a color on a layer while this is unchecked, it'll select every instance of that color on the layer. very useful for global edits
