Smashing Times are in Frankfurt attending the Sommerwerft Theaterfestival. Fiona and Carmen from the Smashing Times team were delighted to attend the Spanish performance 'Arboreal Resistance' at Weseler Werft. These performances are part of the #TreesProject funded by #CreativeEurope

Seán was an outstanding broadcaster and actor. We had the pleasure of meeting Seán over the years and to be interviewed on his show on several occasions. Seán was a passionate advocate for the arts and he will be deeply missed.

His early works were written in blood and sky, literally, using his body and landscapes as canvases for protest. In Ni Pena Ni Miedo (“No Shame Nor Fear”), he carved those words into the Atacama Desert as a monument to the disappeared.

#ST10WeAdmire Raúl Zurita (born 1950) is a Chilean poet and performance artist whose work responds to the traumas of dictatorship and exile. While he is better known in Latin American literary circles, Zurita remains underrecognized globally.
