After reading the Daniel Rachel timely book about Rock’s fascination with Nazi symbolism - I went back to my first fanzine London’s Outrage and this is what I wrote in December 1976 after seeing punks wearing swastika and getting freaked out

Really chuffed to see that Budgie’s memoir The Absence, which I helped write, is Rough Trade’s Book Of The Year. It was a joy to work on this & encounter Budgie’s tender fearlessness in writing about subjects most male musicians don’t go near. A lovely man.

RIP to one of the all-time greats... Jack DeJohnette has passed away at age 83. The legendary drummer is pictured here at the September 24, 1965 recording session for Jackie McLean's "Jacknife," which marked his first appearance on a Blue Note record.

We are so sad to hear that Dave Ball, the keyboard genius of Soft Cell, has died. He was an electronic pop pioneer and with Marc Almond made a unique catalogue of songs, completely original in sound and content. Our love and condolences go to Marc and all those close to Dave. Neil and Chris xx
