Kinda interesting that the right side which appears to be double courses of strings (like a mandolin) do not have sharps or flats. Does the book that I assume came with it, call it a Guitar Mandolin Harp? Also I love that it has the price on the label in the sound hole.

I play a variety of stringed instruments but never one of those.

Cool! Probably the biggest risk would be if it can't take the string tension. Is it in tune (or close) now? If yes then it shouldn't explode with the new strings. I'd try changing just one or two strings at a time. Have you found a set of new strings?
