Woke up with a horrid stomach, but was just treated to the neighbourhood owl having a loud, excited conversation with something it is most likely hunting, so… trade-offs?

Back in the heyday of Vancouver Twitter (it was a whole scene, there were meet-ups, many of my ‘newly made friends as an adult’ are from that era) we had a hashtag: #604insomnia

I *have* been learning ‘all of the power tools’ with dad, and new cooking things with mom we’d never found time for before

Still, man. I think I can’t do anything under 40 minutes because it’s hard to fall asleep during the day even when tired.

I think I am also best suited to a 12am or 1am bedtime, but society REALLY wants us up earlier than that happily allows, it seems…

A nine minute nap is an IMPRESSIVE skill, holy shiet

I hate the phrase ‘everything happens for a reason’ because it’s often accidentally or intentionally used to downplay something.

I’m grateful for this extra time I get to spend with my family, & especially helping my parents with stuff around their house.

But man I really want to be back at work…

You guys do have some really gorgeous spots in Cali, though! Because I’m a stereotype, I badly want to see Joshua Tree and Yosemite 😍🩷

I have to confess, though, one of my toxic traits is snort-laughing at anyone in LA that says they’re going ‘hiking’ in LA. I still wish them well but.. 😅💀

I’m too tired to Google it (no one tell me) but I’m gonna save that word in case I remember to google it tomorrow. It would be delightful if I actually did 😂

I love my parents very, very, very much. They each definitely have their own quirks!

Oh shit, I LOVE that his thread kind of started with a nod to Gene Kelly’s tailoring. The man wore some of the BEST pants that a man has ever worn, on screen. That shit fit like a dream, in like every single one of his roles…

Real question: how are y’all taking a nap during the day and still sleeping okay at night?

I live in a one bedroom apartment with no storage locker, the ‘water vehicles’ (😂) live at my parents’ house. Either one would liiiiiikely be a less than ideal living situation for you 🫣

I often wonder about that guy in real life… because, I mean… that’s some real scary face (it’s attractive, but scary)

Yeah, everything ‘pulls’ in a way that makes him look rumpled if he’s doing anything other than standing still

Shot down the lake from the side of my kayak. With dramatic cloudy skies overhead, trees lining either side of the frame around the edge of the lake, and mountains in the background. Disclaimer: technically Buntzen isn’t a lake, according to some? I have always called it that and always will, sorry not sorry 😌

One of the many old growth tree stumps that stick out from the lake like a monolithic figure, with newer baby trees/plants growing out of the stump. Above it is a dramatic cloudy sky, behind it is nothing but forest lining the edge of the lake. Unfortunately my stupid paddle is in this shot at the bottom but I’m too tired to edit it out right now

(And it works for me, because mine are often triggered by pressure. Acupressure stuff works wonders on me)

I’m failing to find the neurologist I follow that talks about it, that video is more helpful than the others imo. Essentially putting a claw clip on either side of your eyebrow can help alleviate/reduce SOME migraines. I suspect it depends on the cause of your migraines, some say it works some not
