I remember arguing with someone on twitter when this all started about AI summaries replacing search. They were insisting everyone needed to "adapt" or be left behind. I asked what the incentive was to adapt, because summaries drive traffic away from websites. They said "because it's the future"

so many people fall through the cracks though, especially because they are barely operational

kind of odd how many folks really only consider people in two states. if you are not in an awful state, you must be in a good one, right?
