Yeah exactly, keep the ones who were there close for sure
I'm glad you've been able to get your thoughts and feelings out in text. This sounds incredibly painful. I can relate to being very unwell in hospital and not hearing from family, though it was the other way for me and was my parents. I had lots of mixed feelings about it but it stung x
Joining my good pal in sharing #100transphotos.
Day 1
Here I am today, doing a very ordinary thing, walking to the shops with the sun shining on my face.
No amount of abuse or legislation will put me back in the closet. I will fight for all trans folk to exist in peace.
Thank you pal ππ
I'm considering renewing my passport early in case that becomes more difficult or impossible. I really didn't think when I first transitioned that I'd have to worry about this.
I haven't spoken much about the UK supreme courts ruling because it's been so overwhelming. It's scary being trans right now and I'm heartbroken for our community.
Bulk buying copies of Heckmeck for pals because its an amazing game and EVERYONE we show it too (at least 15 so far) adores it.
I definitely think having a crunchy texture improves all salads!
It was pretty good! If you fancy trying it;
Drain 1 can chickpeas & coat in oil, salt & pepper. Spread thin on baking sheet and roast at 200C for 10 mins. Add oregano & sliced garlic & roast for 10-15 until crispy
Roast broccoli in oil with salt & pepper.
Cut tomatoes, mix, add fresh lemon juice
Limited supplies for a vegan at my grandads so made a simple salad of crunchy oregano and garlic chickpeas, tomatoes and roasted broccoli.
Listened to Nina Simone with Grandad while I crunched away
My sore, exhausted, ill folk - another tip to help with PIP. To quote Sorcha who I wrote with recently: we belong in the future. Pls also see pinned post for more. π§΅...
Thank you!!
Exhausted after having a fun guest for 6 days, so things on toast for the foreseeable.
I had leftover cashew cheese and crispy lentils for one slice, the other has curry papaya spread and pickled cabbage. Served with half an apple and some grapes
SKEAR ZINES CALL OUT!
We wanna make zine first aid kits that explore care for planet, community, self. One will be 'traditional' folded paper, one will be in a matchbox, and one a postcard.
More detail at link, closing date is 13th June.

It may feel a bit Christmassy but this gingerbread recipe can be increased with ease and never fails me for gift boxes. Very fun if you bulk buy some icing tubes so kiddos can decorate them!

A hero to us all!
I'm on team repulsed but amused.
A wonderful charity shop find
My trans siblings, we are and always have been part of nature, part of the vast biodiversity of our home planet... pt 1 π§΅

I was very indifferent to my name before transition and didn't think it suited me particularly. I don't think I realised how indifferent I was until I chose my new name and immediately loved it!
Perfect!
Pastry can make me so angry! They could be blitzed into crumbs to make a biscuit like pot for wee ramekins perhaps?

Candied nuts and a Peanut Mix (sesame caramel peanuts, chilli peanuts and peanut pretzel bites) for hungry adventurers!
That's a really cool idea! I'd love to do an ebook sometime as a lot of the official cookbooks is very meat focused (understandably!) but I think there's space for some interesting vegetable based dishes.
Today I'm preparing a Tavern menu and ration bags for a dnd one shot tomorrow.
I will take any opportunity to geek out on food!
Making a few recipes from the dnd cookbooks, including owlbear milk and cherry bread.
Organisations and businesses have already been unclear on the law and this will muddy the waters further.
The hatred and discourse that has been stirred up in response to the news is frightening.
A lot of folk have been pointing out technicalities that trans folk are still protected under the equality act.
This is actually very frustrating to me, because what's written in legislation often doesn't matter. How these things are interpreted is what impacts us on a daily basis.
