Hearing people’s personal experiences is crucial as we continue to develop our Accessible BC Act and provide the programming and services people rely on. Thank you to Inclusion BC, Aspire Richmond, and Inclusion Canada for creating a space for everyone to connect this week.

Grateful to be able to spend time at the Inclusion BC Conference over the past couple of days, connecting with #advocates, #serviceproviders, family members, friends, and colleagues discussing how we can continue to build belonging in our #communities by making them more #inclusive and #accessible.

Muslim communities will be gathering today to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

Being the time of Hajj, this day is a reminder of the importance of sharing, gratitude and caring for others – values we all share as British Columbians.

British Columbians are doing their best to buy BC when they can and they expect the government to do the same.

Now is the time to continue to support Canadian jobs, find new markets and develop strong ties with countries that aren’t threatening us.

I met with Prime Minister Carney about the need for a Team Canada response to Trump’s escalating attack on our forestry industry.

We’re ready to work with Ottawa to stand up for the communities and families that depend on these jobs.

We will keep standing up for Canadian workers impacted by Trump's unjustified tariffs.

The threat is not over, and we are not going to let up.

Thanks to the unwavering efforts of Grace Lore & Mitzi Dean, the Westshore has opened 20 new recovery beds for women seeking treatment.

Everyone deserves to live with dignity and support. And having a safe place to heal makes all the difference.

Had a great lunch with members of the Truck Loggers Association today with colleagues.

Fun fact: Barry Simpson approached to inform me that he’d worked with a Lajeunesse at Jordan River in the early ‘70s. I told him that would be my dad, Bob. So, needless to say I have a new friend.

Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to meet with the 2025 Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Twinning Program Indigenous Youth Interns. It was truly inspiring to hear their perspectives, ambitions, concerns.Here’s to empowering the next generation of leaders!

Yesterday, I had the honor of recognizing the life and legacy of Jube Wickheim. A cherished member of the Sooke and Shawnigan Lake communities, Jube’s impact will be remembered for years to come. His dedication, kindness, and contributions to those around him leave a lasting legacy.
