On the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, over 100 years ago, they promised us there would be no more wars, that our politicians, our leaders, would never again send our young to die to profit our old men.
Let's hope we find a way to keep that promise.
Instead, we now call it the First World War. That's so we don't confuse it with all the wars that followed

March 29th, 1973 is the day the US withdrew from Vietnam. 2.7 million served there, and those that returned were met with disdain and hostility.
