26.09.2025 06:37 β π 55 π 9 π¬ 1 π 0A little cartoon of myself sitting in front of two books. I am reading a comic. The three books behind me are the comics that I worked on to come out this year. CRUMBLE, BLACK CLOAK v2, and MEAT EATERS.
The cover for my young adult horror comic MEAT EATERS. It features the lower half of a girls face. Her mouth open, blood spilling out of her mouth.
Today is National Comic Book Day. Yup. To celebrate I thought I'd post previews from the three books that I had come out this year.
For our final installment of 2025, we have MEAT EATERS. Published by Oni Press.
Finally... it is done! Now available on Vgen, my customizable spreadsheet is available to help artists figure out pricing based on their unique situation (desired wages, supply & demand, market research, PTO).
It's PWYW! β€οΈ I spent ~a month on this, shares are appreciated!

These are the stories of working visual artists, who describe losing jobs, wages, and hope as their clients and bosses embrace AI.
I saw this originally on mastodon, but want to draw attention to it here- really good breakdown of how exactly payment processors function and why you can only DIY it all so far
17.09.2025 19:26 β π 39 π 21 π¬ 1 π 1This doesnβt mean itβs easy, but Iβve been feeling strongly about this. I think Patreon can make you think itβs something inescapable when lots of people are running their own membership sites or newsletters. And have for a long time. I strongly want Patreon to work for artists, not the reverse.

making a presentation about comics for kids, and I wanna stress that you don't need fancy tools or programs to draw comics...anyone wanna throw me some examples of comics made with nontraditional or very low cost materials?

That it's impacting us, often in ways that aren't as flashy. The narrative is that LLMs can easily replace artists. It's not true, but they need to hear it from us firsthand.
