Arrived in Gibraltar too late for any touristing but I wandered the Main Street had a nice dinner and walked up as high as the Churchill Tunnels. Unfortunately I have to wait until 9:00 am to get tickets. But looking forward to a full day exploring

Kinda fitting that the end of the world would be inhospitable. Rounding up a little, and ignoring all the times I missed a marker and had to backtrack or followed a Variant / Complementary route, I’m calling it 400 Kilometers of walking the Camino

Today I walked through the hills of Galacia and past burial mounds dated at 4500 bce the history in this small corner of Spain is the history of human kind.

The first 280 Kilometers done. Tomorrow I head towards the end of the earth, Fisterra Spain. Another 110 kilometers walk.

It is difficult to focus on the petty ramblings of politicians and celebrities while walking a road commemorated 1700 years ago. The triviality of humans is not in my thoughts.

Whatever else I discover on this trip discovering Portugals passion for art in any form will stay with me. Mundane becomes whimsy. The everyday item must add amusement

Time slows on a long walk. The villages pass in a blur. Atlantic waves crash along the shore. The Camino has its own pace. Portugal is welcoming and friendly at every turn.

Got to spend a few days at Bare Oaks last month. Always a blast to visit, and I got to ride up to Tobermory, and ferry across to Manitoulin. What a great weekend

Yes. Bay of Fundy Park in New Brunswick At low tide you can walk out on the beach for a couple hours. At High tide you Kayak around the pillars.

Nice ride up to Smith Falls and along the Rideau. Some interesting sights along the way.

I have yet to find truly fun riding roads in New Brunswick but the scenery and experience more than make up for it. The Bay of Fundy is spectacular.

Ultimately through compromise or violence, it must be recognized that the Constitution no longer serves the people and must be re-written. The old republic must die for true change to happen.

The challenge of course, is we travel with our gear clipped to the back of our bikes, so to hike, eat, and explore we need to let go of paranoia about theft, and walk away trusting in human nature. I have never been disappointed.

We need to normalize walking out of restaurants that haven’t taken your order within 15 minutes of entering. My guess is road houses have no interest in return business

I did it twice this summer and found it very rewarding

It is the side trips down less traveled roads that give life meaning. The best part of the plan is when you chose to ignore it
