Bruno is not the issue with the midfield. Heโs the only technician in a workhorse group. We need more like him.
Currently all of our CMs work best running into space. But no one to find them/fill the space they leave.
Tonali is a good mix of physical and technical but need a creator next to them
To me itโs very obvious the lack of Signings wasnโt a PSR issue (bid 75mil for Guehi), but a problem caused by the change in hierarchyโฆ
The plan changed and the people making decisions changed which meant nothing was done. Fully expect that to change with Mitchell and time
Iโve come to the conclusion this is probably his ceiling. The lack of signings has stunted a lot of growth.
Thereโs not really even been an attempt to develop the play style to help, which makes me think heโs not capable. Donโt see a point in sacking him mid season, but think itโs the end
We all knew it would get to a point where teams sit off us, weโre here and thereโs no solutions.
Individual quality is the obvious way to change that, but thereโs no patterns to play
Replacing Howe probably doesnโt mean we finish any higher.
However I think itโs a long goodbye.
Crosses from the touchline being our main way to break down a low block isnโt a good look and thereโs been 3 years to develop something new #nufc
We always knew teams would eventually allow us more possession.
Unfortunately the style hasnโt developed to match this. This is why it was always unsustainable.
Needs a big change fast which I just canโt see
Tonali and Barnes were bought for these games. Ball striking and added technical quality, adding a ceiling to the team without them
25.11.2024 21:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I donโt see this group having any confidence of breaking teams down in games like this.
These games are what Howe will be judged on and heโs not helping himself
The CBs too, why are they suddenly so passive all the time?
Thought weโd seen the last of it when Pope came back, feels like itโs instructed at this point #nufc
Barnes + Tonali were bought for games exactly like this.
Ball striking and technical quality. Both need to start regardless of form of others. #nufc
I think I see a Tonali saga developingโฆ
Itโs coincidental for me that Longstaff has played and we win. Tonali can comfortably do everything Longstaff does + have added quality on the ball.
No doubt to me heโll be a huge upgrade in that position, just time and itโll work
Really donโt think it matters where they all start, all very versatile so depending on performance or needs theyโll rotate
22.11.2024 13:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Botman
Cabaye
Solano
Remy
Without NUFC bias I think those guys are the bestโฆ
Cabaye > Gini is a very close call
Twitter is a much wider issue and in the long run probably will only have the bots and crazies left.
Iโve left it now as itโs just unbearable at this point. Once BlueSky grows I think itโll comfortably be the nicer place to be
Another ones drops them
Canโt be another supplier messed up this muchโฆ #nufc
Iโd rather not expand at all than move out of city.
Itโs so amazingly perfect and not worth losing for some extra seats. Upgrade what we have if thatโs the only option
Moving to Leaves or similar location is fine and I donโt see anyone objecting to it. Moving it out the city is a big no for me.
Canโt see any benefits to moving away. Grow where we are or upgrade what we have for me
Lot of people talk about us needing to be โruthlessโ by getting rid of the likes of Longstaffโฆ this is where we need to do better
18.11.2024 06:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Got to transition away from them either way really, itโs not sustainable long term.
Tonali can do that Longstaff role, tbh I think itโs more coincidental that weโve won with Longstaff in than because heโs key
Iโm looking forward to how this platform deals with the transfer window, I used to constantly refresh waiting for something newโฆ
Surely way less shit posts and BS flying about ๐ #nufc
I only had a season ticket during the Ashley era so not the legendary games Iโm seeing some at:
- 3-2 Chelsea, Sissoko debut
- 5-1 Tottenham, Rafa ๐ฅฒ
- 1-0 Anzhi, purely just for bouncing to rocking all over the world for 30 mins after the end #nufc

Seen an amazing response to your starter pack, helped me a bunch.
Got a lovely community alreadyโฆ just waiting for a loss to West Ham to ruin that ๐ fun so far
Might be some Stockholm Syndrome but I miss the boys #nufc
15.11.2024 16:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm not sure if Howe attempted a big change and I kind of failed so he reversed it.
Hard to tell if a lot of these players can play possession football still
Read your newsletter and Iโve got the feeling heโs gone back to what previously worked (even with playing direct to J7 on the wing).
If we want to stick to the possession style we have to improve the build up patterns, but stale against low block teams imo
For me Howes gone back to what he knows, the double Joe left, bit more direct at times too.
Hall is a big improvement in build up too, but same questions are there for the long term.
