Ya, I think that's where I am. It is interesting that F News is mentioning it at all. They tend to ignore such headlines for days and put up a Hillary or Obama headline. I've just been burned too many times to think this is going to go down like Nixon and Watergate.

At this point, I'm too cynical to believe it will lead to accountability.

Exactly this. Before the 2024 election my dad was trying to hint that the military-industrial complex was why we wrongly went into Iraq. Which was weird because they were totally on board with it at the time, saying at one point circa 2010(?) "we should pave over the middle east".

Based on which portraits and political swag have been hanging in my dad's office over the past few decades, I'd say your idea has merit.

Same for my MIL, mostly...
But as for my folks, they don't have an ounce of liberalism in them. At least I know where they stand I guess.

I experienced this with my MIL who wrote in Condoleezza Rice for President. The reasons were as frustrating as this quiz, with the obvious issue being Abortion. The most surprising reason was she thought Dems would end Social Security 🤦‍♂️. I also reminded her about Rice's role in Iraq War 2 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️.
