Went to a prayer service tonight at St. Mary of the Lake, where they have cardboard cutouts throughout the church representing parishioners afraid to come to Mass because of ICE.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

I love this.

I love roasted okra. I rinse and cut into bites — usually 3-4 pieces per okra. Throw them on an oiled pan, drizzle olive oil and salt on the okra and roast at 400F or so. Depending upon how crispy you like them, I’d check and toss them at about 15-20 minutes. Potentially go for another 5 min.
