This has always been the GOP's strategy:
1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.
2) Explode deficits
3) Use the debt as an excuse to demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.
4) Repeat.

The inheritance tax on large agricultural estates?

Keir Starmer defended their actions and said it was justified to prevent war crimes.
Now his government is banning Palestine Action for doing the same.

OBR forecast UK household debt to hit Β£2,429bn in 2025.
Public debt shifted to households e.g. student debt.
Real wage cuts, higher living costs, more debt
Costs more to service private debt than public debt.
No govt focus on household debt.
Can't rebuild economy without redistribution.
Starmer backs Trumpβs bombing of Iran saying it βcan never be allowed to develop nuclear weaponβ.
Is UK going to be sucked into another US led war? No WMD in Iraq. Libya, Syria destabilised
Imperialist mentality of conquest, regime change causes more chaos.
Starmer's Labour had one job to do β to reverse the evils of Thatcherism and restore the people's faith in parliamentary democracy β and with a thumping majority he was given the tools with which to do it. He has utterly failed and will never be forgiven for paving the way for a Farage government.

Hi Tracey, taxes donβt pay for anything, Government Expenditure pays for things, Gov set budgets and the B of E is obliged to fund Government priorities! Taxes give the Government issued Fiat Currency credibility and control the money supply!

Instead of voting for Reform just take a big shit in the toilet, now stick your head in and flush.

@carladenyer.bsky.social, the immediate need is to understand how government spending works in our fiat currency regime. To understand that austerity and cuts make no economic sense. Then we need to understand the roles of taxation - across the spectrum - and make the tax regime fit for purpose.
