Let’s be clear: a shutdown is a choice. Republicans control the House, Senate, and White House. The government shut down, because they chose billionaire tax breaks over affordable healthcare for 22 million Americans.

Every shutdown shows us the same truth, when politicians fail, it’s workers who carry the burden.

Republicans would rather shut down the government than stop your health premiums from going up 75%. They are holding our country hostage.

Elected officials must come to an agreement that puts working people first. Raising health care costs to fund tax breaks for billionaires is unacceptable.

If you make $50K a year, it would take 20,000 years to hit your first billion.
Billionaires don’t exist because of “hard work.” They exist because of our work.

Fearing deportation, families with mixed immigration status make emergency plans More than 4 million U.S. families have mixed immigration status. As the Trump administration continues to ramp up deportations, many of these families are preparing emergency plans.

4 million families. 4 million children. Families who’ve built lives here, paid taxes here, raised kids here, now forced to draw up “emergency plans” in case ICE rips parents away.
