“Why is it that those who are theoretically most able to pay get to stop doing so, while those with less are not afforded the same privilege?”
That’s the question we should be asking.
There’s no excuse for letting the rich off easy while working people continue to foot the bill.
We are really out here in burger wars while the federal minimum wage is stuck at $7.25.
Baby, the combo costs more than the hour.
Working people are getting squeezed from every direction.
Groceries. Rent. Healthcare.
Unions and collective bargaining can change that.
So no, immigrants are not the problem.
Let’s be clear: working people are the ones who keep this country running.
Not the billionaires.
Not the bosses.
US.
61 years ago, Bloody Sunday showed us just how far this country would go to deny Black people the right to vote.
Today we’re seeing a new wave of vote suppression with ID barriers, postal delays, and lies about “election integrity.”
We honor the heroes of Selma with resistance.
Trump wants to make it easier to fire longtime federal workers.
Let’s call that what it is: politically motivated firings and rewards for loyalists.
And the gutting of worker protections? An added bonus as far as this President’s concerned.
People make unions sound complicated.
It’s not.
A union is workers realizing:
I have power.
You have power.
And together?
We can win.
#UnionsForAll
You cannot gaslight people at the checkout line.
You cannot wave away rising bills.
You cannot tell workers the crisis is over while families are still cutting back on basics.
Working people are living the truth every single day.
“I would never imagine me ending up being homeless and working for UCLA. It’s been rough.”
Deshundre’s story is bigger than one worker. It’s about an economy that praises labor, profits from labor, and still refuses to value labor.
That’s why we organize. That’s why we fight.
Your rent went up.
Your boss’s demands went up.
Your paycheck didn’t.
Interesting…
I thought Trump said the economy is 'roaring like never before.'
Because from where I’m sitting:
February wiped out 92,000 jobs & unemployment ticked up to 4.4%.
So remind me again, who exactly is this economy working for?
Working people demand:
✅Money
✅Power
✅Respect

We refuse to live smaller so billionaires can live larger.
BIG win at Duke today!
Starting wages are going up to $20/hour across the University and Health System.
That’s organizing. That’s showing up. 🎉
Disabled workers’ unemployment is more than double that of nondisabled workers. For people of color, it’s even higher.
We watched this administration roll back disability hiring, undermine civil rights enforcement and slash job protections.
These are the consequences.
DeSantis started his crusade against unions in 2023.
It failed. In all 209 cases FL teachers voted to keep their union.
His response? Move the goalposts.
A new bill to deny the will of voting members. He’s stomping on the rights of working people.
Raise wages, protect unions, and tax billionaires. Full stop.
New data shows job turnover is at a 9-year low.
Translation: workers aren’t “less ambitious”, they’re being careful because rent is up, layoffs are real, and the next job might not exist.
This is why we need strong unions and job protections, especially with the rise of AI.
Let’s be clear: Trump’s attack on immigrants is an attack on ALL workers.
When some workers are intimidated into silence, it impacts us all. They want us isolated and quiet, but we’re organized and loud. ✊🏿💪🏿

When the California Agricultural Labor Relations Act passed in 1975, Cesar Chavez walked 1000+ miles up the California coast for 59 days to inform farm workers that they had won the right to organize.
We may have more ways to communicate now, but we will not stop. #UnionsForAll
Trump has appointed 27 lifetime judges to the federal bench: 17 White men, 7 women and 0 women of color.
This isn’t about qualifications. It’s about control.
Stack the courts with loyalists, and you lock in his agenda for decades.

Billionaires are gambling with our lives, our communities, and our planet, then calling it “business.” We’ve got to hold them accountable.
What workers across the country are asking for isn’t complicated. It’s consistent. It’s human. It’s urgent.
I keep hearing the same three things, over and over again:
Money. Power. Respect.
Unions are how we win all three.

The SAVE Act is voter suppression.
Nearly 90% of women change their last name after marriage. Documentation mismatches means delayed registration, denied registration, or forced extra trips that working people just don’t have time for.

Today, Roxanne Brown was sworn in as the 10th International President of the @steelworkers.bsky.social. The first woman and black person to serve in the position.
History Made.
