D811. I was all day on campus. I spend a lot of time with these children. They're so young and clever. The lecture today was long and they got bored at the end 😂 They prefer hands-on activities. I promised that our next lecture will be hands on activities and group activities. They like that better.

D810. First thing in the morning I came to my Professor's office hours to ask for feedback. They're right. There are things I need to change if I want to grow and be better. I will take the feedback and use it to do better work. I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to get constructive feedback 🙏

D809. Preparing labs and lectures for tomorrow. I love my students and I love my teaching job. Because of that, I believe students should be educated with honesty to prepare them to face adversity and work to build their own success. Not a bubble of fantasy that in the long term will make them fail.

Why do students get away with abusing teachers? Why isn't it considered embarrassing to expect excelent grades with little to no effort? TikTok culture. Everybody is a victim. With that "victimhood", you're not accountable for anything. That's how you destroy a kid's future.

Teaching in the modern world: "Everything will offend everybody. Don't say anything. No one can fail. Bad grades are a form of "racism". Give everyone an A regardless of quality of the work. Not giving everyone an A is Nazism". And parents make bigger tantrums than their kid's. Then, who's learning?

I do love teaching but it is bad what the modern world is demanding from teaching. "Keep it a safe space: Everything will offend everybody. Don't you dare to educate anyone. Homework is an insult. Everyone should get an A". How do you expect any learning from a system that teaches no accountability?

For example, only caring about grades and not the process of education. Everybody focuses on grades but with modern technologies, there are cases in which cheating is almost impossible to demonstrate even if deep down we know there was cheating. Education should care more about values and integrity.

The solution is not to say that education is a waste. The solution is to fix the problems that educations faces right now because of how the world dynamics changed. We really don't need a world full of OnlyFans models, and Andrew Tates. No matter how profitable that could be for online businesses.

"You don't need education just start your business". If that was the case, then every person who didn't get an education would be a billionaire. That's not the case. The whole world needs better education. Everybody needs education but everybody diminishes the value of education. That's the problem.

In general for all problems in the world, a lot of problems would be solved if schools were seen as places to get an education not as a "waste of time". Billionaries must stop telling people that studying is a waste of time. The world doesn't revolve about dollars. We need education & accountability

Not all feedback is a gift. Some comments are gut punches.

It's not unprofessional to get upset about criticism. Showing emotion usually means you care and got caught off guard.

What counts is not how you react in the moment. It’s whether you use the input to improve over time.

This is happening worldwide. In my country, teachers complain students don't want to do anything like studying, paying attention in classes, yet they expect As even if they don't even try to do excellent work. I think social media made a lot of people entitled and it's bad.

D808. My research didn't pass. 😭💔 I'm exhausted & sad. I did put everything I have on this. I devoted myself to it. I am committed to do things right and still, it did not pass. I am heartbroken but I care too much for this to give up. I will improve my arguments and work the necessary improvements.

D807. I am struggling to figure out my research contributions. The thing is what I thought were contributions are actually not. Or at least I am not demonstrating with enough evidence why I believe those are contributions. You have no idea how expensive and how demanding is to be a bad researcher 💔😭

Why do I want to be in America? This is the best country. That's why I came. Here I have access to better resources, books, tutorials. I learn from the experts and I love that. And of course here the opportunities are better. America is great. I support Americans who want the best for their country.

I want to keep my job. 😭💔 I did everything right. I always respected all the rules and everybody's rights.

Of course I feel horrible about Trump immigration policies. The possibility that at any point I can't work here anymore feels awful but I can't control the world. I'm not God. This is the Democrats' fault because their insane policies got Trump elected. That's what we get from irrational politicians

I am glad that I had no clue how difficult this is because if I had know how difficult this is and how bad I am, I wouldn't have even TRIED. Kind of like, my ignorance got me in trouble, but honestly that same ignorance kind of saved me. Because it made me study and learn. And that was very good. ❤️🤗

D805. Working on my research. ❤️ I had not realized how privileged I am that this chance was given to me but I must say, I truly care and I genuinely did my best. It was done to the best of my knowledge and it was the best I could do. ❤️ It could be better, of course, since everything can be improved.
