First, many SNAP recipients have jobs. They’re just living below the poverty line because of tremendous wealth inequality.

I was speaking to a lady who arrived last night to the shelter and she told me she had been calling DV shelters for a year! I told her that I have been calling for 8 months! You need to understand that USA has a shelter crisis. Homelessness has increased 18% since 2023.
