Unfortunately with any media that depicts fascism there will be people who like the characters not because of themes or narrative, but because they represent their real world fascist ideals. Until we drive these monsters out of fan spaces we’ll be forever having this discussion.
Which is probably partly accommodation for dozens of players in public spaces, and also because these games are generally played from a distant downward-angled 3rd person POV, more realistically sized spaces would feel cramped and potentially have issues with the camera getting caught on scenery.
its a common thing in MMO level design that everything is seemingly built for like twelve foot tall giants rather than normal sized people.

i know when confronted by a bunch of upset people on the internet it’s natural to get defensive, but don’t go down this road. You don’t have to double down on this. You can still make things right: remove the image, apologise, learn, and do better in future.
Then don’t do it, or open up Paint and make a crappy edit yourself, rather than committing art theft and environmental vandalism.
I propose keeping the 19th century lyrics, but only if we all agree to use the modern interpretation of ”gay” 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
