And, although I love the lack of ads here on BSKY, I worry that they won't survive without them. It's kind of a catch 22.

I guess I don't understand why that is. Do their advertisers get paid based on user volume? That being said, I do take advantage of capabilities they have that I can't get from any other media (at least not so far), but I do try to minimize my own spending with them.

How do clicks give him $$$? I don't spend on FB or their advertisers, at least not via FB, nor do I contribute to fundraisers other than separately. But there is, as of yet, no good replacement for FB like BSKY is for X

And people are creating other feeds that you can select depending on your interests. (I learned all this after I made that post, but there's a lot I still haven't figured out.)

It depends which feed you select. The default feed is "Discover" which is random and that's probably what you see. But you can select the "Following" feed, which is posts from people you follow and/or you can select 'Mutuals" which is people you follow who also follow you.
