Of course everyone takes a million pictures, it’s one of the most astounding things I’ve ever seen.

Wandering through a palace of the future, or it may be a shopping mall in Singapore.

I swear I’m not only spending my time in Singapore eating cake, but when an old friend from primary school (whom you haven’t seen since 1992) takes you for coffee, who could resist the Gula Melaka cake or the dripping Kaya cake?

I got mighty wet photographing these, not because I fell into the pond, but because it was raining a LOT.

I just feel I would be a better person if I had a magnificent afternoon tea like this every day. Larger, yes, of course. But also better.

There’s a magnificent exhibition of music posters on at the @nationalgalleryaus . There wasn’t one I didn’t covet.

I like these large light shades. I imagine them humming melodiously to each other, then dropping down to trap their chosen prey of discerning diners.

The bees were out, languidly doing their job.

We had a visitor! At first, Sally was appalled. Soon, however, they were tearing madly around the house together.

This cinnamon roll from @thepialligobakesmith was awarded ‘Australia’s best cinnamon scroll’, and I can see (and taste) why.

They just seemed to be having a nice day out.

A new leaf on my terrarium plant! (I thought it might be dying, so I’m very pleased.)

Now I really want to write a story about a huge metal pigeon. Just not sure if it would be the hero or the villain.

One of my friend’s new kittens. Unbelievably light, unbelievably adorable.

One of the best experiences of 2025 came on the very last day of the year, when I met a litter of German Shepherd puppies.
