I was primarily using a soft spray can type brush to get the shading as even as possible. Plus there has to be about 4 layers of shading and 2 of lighting. Final touches were done with a standard pen to do stuff like rim lighting. Plus, colored linework really adds to it overall.

I forget that this city can be really pretty sometimes.

So i'm going to make a quick adjustment to how I do art to preserve wrists/back/neck.

As much as i love doing the daily warmups, i think all they've really done is stress me out, ultimately, and cause burnout.

Gonna try to focus on comics and stuff i've been *wanting* to do for forever now.

I wanted to do at least 1 attack for every day of the month for artfight, but hey... 16 attacks total ain't bad, right?

Still mad my back and neck decided to make my life a living hell, but such is life.

maybe next year i'll actually do the full drawing a day for artfight, we'll see.

unfortunately been significantly slower at this than i'd like.

Back and neck pain make focusing borderline impossible, but i'm genuinely hopeful i'll have this done either tomorrow or at the very latest the day after.

Never knew that a heating pad could feel so good.

Best feeling ever with it sitting on my neck which has been dealing with muscular tension. Also, i've been doodling art stuff, my last piece for art fight. After this, i'll be putting full focus into comics.

Anyways, here's a (partial) doodle!

So, I've essentially learned that in my search for a job and being stuck with nothing else to do but art, that i've been extremely inactive. This has done a number on my back and neck.

Lesson learned, remember to stay active, or you'll become a pile of pain.

I wanna try to get 1 or 2 more art fight projects done before it's over and then give things a rest for a while.

I've been essentially drawing every day for 3 months straight, but it's a shame that my back/neck decided they hate me and make focusing impossible.
