HAMILTON, ON - The 8 and 10 year old children were ecstatic with their new bikes and “Cannot wait to walk them to school” They are hoping that on weekends their parents might drive them to the park to pedal around slowly on the multiuse path - “it would be nice to sit on the bike and ride it too, but I don’t wanna get my hopes up”

With so many driving up and down the hill, often recklessly, this animal is vulnerable to the fate of its comrade in the CBC story. There's been lots of public education about this issue. Parks Canada has a huge sign on Signal Hill Road advising that human food kills wildlife. What can we do? 4/5

This is clearly a familiar experience for this animal. It probably arrives expecting food every night. I was walking on the hill in the morning a few days ago and the same fox approached me on the path. I ignored it, and it went away, but displaying no wariness about the encounter. 3/5

This animal clearly had no fear of people or motor vehicles. I tried to scare it away and it would retreat a few metres and come straight back. Then I realized someone had thrown food out of their car and the fox was going nowhere without getting its snack. 2/5
