Search-and-rescue crews were “flying blind” trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week.

Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA’s $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool.

But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities.

The Corporate Miscreants Driving the Affordability Crisis These 20 firms all have something in common: Their CEOs get paid millions, their workers are being pushed onto public assistance, and voters are fed up with them.

Brian Niccol of Starbucks took home the award for the most nonsensical disparity between CEO and employee income: He earns $95,801,676, while the median salary for a Starbucks employee was a mere $14,674. trib.al/BjhK3uN

Difficult to emphasize just how much a generation of kids has been taught that being dishonest, superficial, and narcissistic is the pathway to attention and therefore success

If I could choose only one film to prove to someone that silent movies were an art form it would be "Sunrise." Murnau's "Tabu" is an underrated masterpiece too.

Over the past year, Trump has pushed nearly 7,000 workers out at the Social Security Administration and reassigned thousands more away from field office work.

The result?

A swath of "ghost offices" that are open in name only after being drained of the staff required to function.

Tax breaks are meant to grow and develop an industry. Not last forever.

Data centers are doing fine. We need to invest those dollars into people and into the broader economy.

That’s how we get broad based prosperity and a more dynamic economy.

I have this same beef every year. Why do we set clocks ahead an hour on the weekend while we're sleeping, thus denying ourselves 60 minutes of both of those precious things? We should set clocks ahead on a Monday morning at 10 a.m. when we're at work and grumpy.

A technician connects the call at the AT&T Building in New York Reporters gather to listen and talk in New York Daily Mirror, London

March 7, 1926: The first test of a radio telephone service between New York and London is made by journalists speaking to each other 3,500 miles apart. “What’s it like in London?” is the first bit of chit-chat, followed by “Not so bad for us, what about New York?” 1/2

Kristi Noem Didn’t Give a Sh*t About ‘the Details’ Such as a woman who was here legally and helped the homeless—but was then deported anyway.

"Maria was working with a shelter program to house fifty unhoused families at one of the Motel 6 properties she managed, she told me." Now that she's been deported, they might be out of a home.
