Lately, communicating irl feels to me like some job that you have to do. Sure, some "tasks" are fun and exciting, but given a choice, I would rather spend my time doing other things.
When I told this to my husband, he replied with "well you just described my whole life."

Both my husband and I tend to be somewhat asocial, but after 15 years together, we have enabled each other to avoid people so much that I'm now seriously concerned about my ability to feel comfortable in social situations.
Three years in a foreign country also did not help

it kinda sucks that the older you get, the more and more of the same thing you see, and stuff like homages and references are more likely to make you roll your eyes instead of feel excited for the thing you like being reflected in other media

In the end one person from our group went to chat with him privately and got a weird lore dump and a link to that guy's tiktok

Today I saw a guy who insisted on a voice call to settle down a dispute over a bunch of pixels, or even to meet him irl (probably a bluff but you can't be sure tbh)
