I love the sheer intensity of this casting decision regardless of the actual product. Oh, you canceled her TV show? Put her in the video game. This has been wished into existence and nothing short of the hand of God herself is gonna stop it.

My first thought seeing this was “Bring Back the Mixed Match Challenge NOW”

I have a bunch more i can expand upon, but regardless i was present for a few moments i knew were special and intimate that i would not have found anywhere else. If you have a chance to work backstage at a venue i say go for it. You'll leave with a lot of stories you'll remember for decades. 9/9

With images flashing in his mind of cheesy old WCW vignettes with Vader, Cheatum and a cackling Harley Race in the bacground, he says "C'mon man. I'm trying to forget all that stuff. leave it behind me." Bully ray nodded and responded "SPIN THE WHEEL, MAKE THE DEAL." before making his exit. 8/9

During this show, Abyss and Sting were seated next to each other putting on their facepaint. It was quiet and civil until Bully Ray showed up. Poking his head around the corner he shouted at the icon "STING! I WANT YOU... FOR MY WHITE CASTLE OF FEAR" Sting immediately rolled his eyes. 7/9

Abyss, Robbie E, Sonjay Dutt and Jeff Hardy shook hands with every local worker at the venue as they entered, which is a surefire way for me to remember you as a decent person (included in that list are Tony Bennett, Martin Short and pretty much every member of Tower of Power). 6/9

Another year the company came through i was loading equipment in the back near the dressing rooms. Abyss (Chris Parks) was the single nicest guy. Saying hi to everyone, cracking jokes, organizing where people were going to eat after the show ended, just all in all a great person. 5/9

She pointed and said "There he is." before walking up to Austin Aries. Aries looked me dead in the eyes and said "Yeah, my real name's Dan. Don't tell anyone or i'll kill you." I don't know what the statute of limitations is for an ass kicking, so i think i'm okay to share that story now. 4/9

A few stories i'll never forget from my time there: Zelina Vega was in the company at that time and she came up to me saying "Have you seen Dan anywhere? I can't find Dan." I was a pretty big fan at the time, but didn't know who she was talking about. Christopher Daniels? Probably not. 3/9

I met a lot of my childhood favorites, like Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy, Sting and Mick Foley as well as the homegrowns like Jay Lethal, AJ Styles, the Motor City Machine Guns, and Abyss. I would get them drinks, set up security for their meet n greets, and even helped set up the ring a few times. 2/9

Backstage story overload: About 10 or 12 years ago, i started working at Westbury Music Fair on long island backstage. Moving crates, setting up dressing rooms, pretty much every non-union job in the house. Every year one of the highlights was when TNA Wrestling would come through. 1/9

Got free tickets to VPW show through work, one of the wrestlers was an evil children's entertainer called Razzle Dazzle. This was years before Bray wyatt too.

Years later was invited to a party and who am i introduced to? Razzle Dazzle AKA James. We've been extremely close friends ever since.

I was gonna stop watching wrestling, give or take December of 2010, i got tickets with some friends to see @ringofhonor.bsky.social Final Battle in NYC. First match on the card, first ROH match i ever saw live? Future Shock vs ANX. First time seeing Adam Cole or Kyle O Reilly. I was a fan again.
