‘Ae Fond Kiss’ is one of Burns’ most famous love songs, arising from his relationship with Agnes McLehose. The pair exchanged passionate letters as ‘Clarinda’ and ‘Sylvander’.

The emotive song is a powerful farewell to McLehose who was moving to the West Indies.

A day full Burns @glasgowburns.bsky.social Conference then @uofglasgow.bsky.social Alumni Burns Supper. Last week was my 1st time back to being me the PGR rather than me the carer. Altho that role still has to be done, being able to spend some time in my PGR world is so good for my soul.

A wonderful morning at the #CRBSconference ! We heard about the great environmental work carried out by the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum 🌳🐭 Some new, exciting digital resources were also launched 💻
