He didn’t cancel twice….
A very happy publication day to one of #ChilternKills favourite ‘regulars’, the always brilliant Vaseem Khan and his latest, no doubt soon to be award winning Malabar House Mystery - City of Destruction.
(Although he doesn’t seem to be on here yet, so we probably could have skipped him…)
A very happy paperback publication day to one of #ChilternKills favourite authors, the brilliant @neillancaster66.bsky.social
#TheDevilYouKnow is the latest in the wildly successful #MaxCraigie series, simultaneously the most exciting AND most realistic police procedural series being written today
Come for the writers and for the good cause. Stay for the food, the fun, the festivities and - for want of another ‘f’ - the very boozy “How To Murder A Song’ after party where everyone sings their heart out until midnight!!
The next Chiltern Kills will take place on Saturday 4th October 2025 in Gerrards Cross, just 18 mins out of London by train and 5 mins from the M25.

Good advice, thank you.
Now just have to go find some!!
So, how does a Crime Writing Festival go about picking up followers in this place, eh?
Any idea?
We’re delighted to announce some amazing news #ChilternKills news.
Our patron - the one & only #FrederickForsyth - has teamed up with our festival co-founder @tonykentwrites.bsky.social to co-write a sequel to the bestselling classic #TheOdessaFile

There are many amazing photos after a brilliant @chilternkills.bsky.social this Sat
But this is the best one
Me and - as my co-founder of the festival, @paulwaters.bsky.social put it - ‘my sequel’
Note his pride of place ‘Author’ lanyard. As he would tell you: “I’ve written 7 books, you know!”
Our purchased for the occasion, straight out of the box @chilternkills.bsky.social loudhailer failed to work on Saturday.
Guess what we used instead!!
#bigmouth #foghorn #loudbastard
The most out-there panel of @chilternkills.bsky.social - Secret Barrister exposed!
Who’d have thought our favourite legal bunny was The Bill’s Lisa Maxwell
Joking aside, Lisa & Louise Minchin played a blinder to make this one work & @barristersecret.bsky.social was their usual brilliant self!
It’s my night before @chilternkills.bsky.social video, when I had lots of grand ideas for the content I’d be making for #tiktok and all that business…
The following morning I still had big plans. I was going to interview the world, I was. All the @chilternkills.bsky.social grandees. Just needed to stay sharp…
And a little while later I WAS sharper! I even had my sunglasses on. I had this down, this video-blogging thing. Why did people keep saying it was so hard?
Proper doddle…
And then…I forgot for 5 hours or so.
Because, frankly, who has the time!?!?
Life is for living, not recording.
Or at least that’s what I told the @chilternkills.bsky.social committee when they asked where the hell all my promised videos were!!
I even stopped this one too early!!
And then…there was this one.
The end.
4 hours later.
Well, the end of the non-drunken karaoke part, anyway.
Sorry, @chilternkills.bsky.social. I’ll go better next year. By which I mean I won’t volunteer to do the videos in the first place!!
That way everybody’s happy!!
After the success of the inaugural #ChilternKills, we are delighted to announce the festival’s return on 5TH OCTOBER 2024 for another day of crime-writing fun
Join us in GerrardsX & help #centrepointuk fight youth homelessness
