So wonderful to welcome back to Seattle U Law's faculty our great colleague, Associate Professor Michael Blasie, who is a gifted educator and an international trailblazer on plain language in law. Michael just got back from Kazakhstan, where he served as dean at KIMEP University School of Law.

My sisterdean bestie Dean Melanie Jacobs (Louisville Brandeis) and I did not color-coordinate outfits in advance of last night's dinner, but I'm not surprised that we were in synch. She's not only a brilliant leader and scholar, she's always gorgeous.
