I'm actually hoping to do a whole separate video on Jack Kirby's reading of the pulps -- there's a lot of evidence he was deeply read in writers like Lovecraft, Sturgeon, Kuttner/Moore and that this influenced his 1940s-1940s SF, as well as the later Marvel stuff. X-Men is good example

There are a bunch of stories that Kuttner and/or Moore did that are Hollywood satires that hold up very well, often about the disruptive effect of technology. There's a terrific 1940 Kuttner/Moore story called "All Is Illusion" about virtual reality movies, worth looking up

It's remarkable that given all the ink spilled over this man—most of it simple scandal-mongering—we still have such a feint understanding of his project. This clarifies a great deal.

CBC deserves all credit but to date the reporting of Grim and Hussain has not been covered by (let alone replicated) by NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, the BBC, the major networks, Atlantic, etc. etc.

This is a MAGA person responding to a post about Epstein. The line of argument they are developing in order to defend Trump is: Epstein was not so bad.

Yes, but we don't know what happened in those meetings, whereas we do have Barak's emails. So the CIA stuff has to be, by necessity, more conjectural.
