DATIS Project

Professor @andreadis.bsky.social participated in the discussion of ISSP 2026 and 2027 questionnaires and presented the research results of DATIS (Deliverables 4.1, 4.2, 5.1) using ISSP data with a study titled: “Sequential Mixed Mode Surveys with Mobile Phone Numbers for Increased Coverage”.

The participation in the @isspsurvey.bsky.social General meeting aimed at strengthening the participation of Greece, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the School of Political Sciences as an official member of the ISSP.

DATIS project, funded by ELIDEK, participated at the @isspsurvey.bsky.social General Meeting 2025 held in Pula, Croatia, from 17-21 May 2025 with a presentation by Professor @andreadis.bsky.social.

The presentation was about the research results of DATIS (Deliverables 4.1, 4.2, 5.1) using @isspsurvey.bsky.social data with the title: “Sequential Mixed Mode Surveys with Mobile Phone Numbers for Increased Coverage”.

DATIS project, funded by ELIDEK, participated at the WAPOR Latam 2025 held in Florianópolis, Brasil, 28-30 April 2025, with a presentation of the research results of DATIS by Professor @andreadis.bsky.social titled: “Innovative methods for data collection and data quality in DATIS”.

DATIS project, funded by ELIDEK, participated at the WAPOR 77th & WAPOR Asia Pacific 7th Joint Annual Conference, 28–31 July 2024, Seoul, with a presentation by Professor @andreadis.bsky.social of methods developed in the new DATIS research project that can be used by the @isspsurvey.bsky.social

Furthermore, the presentation incorporates insights from the DATIS 2024 pilot survey on social attitudes towards LGBTQ+ rights in Greece, examining public opinions on topics such as same-sex relationships, adoption rights, and equality.

Additionally, it analyzes vote losses for governing parties compared to the most recent national election, participation trends, and the implications of vote mobility between parties.

The presentation discusses the historical patterns of European elections in Greece, differentiating between grace-period, mid-term, and late-term elections.

DATIS project, funded by ELIDEK, participated with a presentation by @efteperoglou.bsky.social at EEPE & EKKE event on European Elections 2024, Political and Electoral Analysis, in Athens, on June 14.

There was great interest from the participants and it was agreed to stay in contact for further cooperation between DATIS, Team Populism and @eupoplink.bsky.social

During the presentation, the link between the study of populism and DATIS was presented, and the new COST Action @eupoplink.bsky.social which will help further dissemination of DATIS and its ancestor (DataPopEU) was announced.

The DATIS project, funded by ELIDEK, participated at the Team Populism conference held at the Democracy Institute in Budapest, Hungary, on May 29-30, 2024, with a presentation by Professor @andreadis.bsky.social

The participation in the ISSP general meeting aimed at strengthening the participation of Greece, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the School of Political Sciences as an official member of the @isspsurvey.bsky.social, the participation in the discussion of the 2025 and 2026 questionnaires.

The DATIS team participated with a presentation of the first research results of DATIS with a study titled: “Survey Data Quality Methods Developed in DATIS”. by Professor @andreadis.bsky.social at the @isspsurvey.bsky.social General Meeting 2024, held in Sydney from April 27th to May 1st.

With a focus on political attitudes and societal transformations, DATIS has allowed our research team to actively contribute to academic discourse at numerous international conferences.

As we have reached the six-month milestone of the DATIS Project, we reflect on the substantial progress made toward enhancing our understanding of inclusive societies through empirical data and scholarly dissemination.

In addition to presenting two posters related to the DATIS project, the team participated with a presentation titled “The History of Election Studies in Greece” by Professor @andreadis.bsky.social and Associate Professor @efteperoglou.bsky.social from the School of Political Sciences.

The poster focused on the DATIS project, which is funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) and also showcased the @isspsurvey.bsky.social, whose data collection is conducted within the framework of the DATIS project.

This event was organized by the Erasmus+ Module “The Transformative Impact of EU Integration in Southern Europe: Electoral Politics, Institutions, and Society (EUPolSur)” in collaboration with the School of Political Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The research team of DATIS actively participated in the Training School titled "Election Studies: Legacy, Milestones, and Challenges," held on 15-16 October 2024 in Thessaloniki.

During the @ecpr.bsky.social General Conference 2024 in Dublin, Styliani Tseliou from the ELIDEK funded DATIS research team delivered a presentation titled "The Impact of National Identity and Citizenship on Electoral Behavior and Vote Choice in Greece."
