No you said British based players the club have signed and Murphy was signed from a British club you never stipulated that this assessment was post takeover and you've just proved my point by admitting that not all signings from British clubs have been dross....

            The solution is simple....
Just follow the same rules as Rugby, a player takes a blow to the head they go sit in the dressing room for 15 mins to be assessed for a concussion and a substitute goes on the field, if they pass the assessment they return to the field and if they fail the sub remains.

If a player unilaterally invokes Article 17 then the player has to pay compensation to the club, which would include buying out the remainder of their contract and any monies a club could realistically have earned from the player being at the club image rights, shirt sales etc. A bit of a deterrent.

But do you not think that as Isak is so desperate to join Liverpool and all he had to do for that to happen was to buy out his contract he wouldn't have already done that and joined Liverpool.

No he can't, you can only buy out your contract when there is only one year remaining on it. Otherwise a player could pay his contract up and then a club could reimburse the player that money as a signing on fee as they wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee.
