So much of my process has been to give a visual form to the music and sounds I listen and envision to. Kinda wonder what my music would have been like if I ever went down a different creative path… maybe I should give it a shot sometime.

Lately I’ve noticed music inspiring my art a lot, maybe even more than other visual arts. Never created music myself, but I can see similarities with it and composing visual art – they are both interplays of contrasts, rhythms, textures, narratives etc. in order to evoke emotions in the audience.

Thank you! The sub-weapons felt like a very defining gameplay feature for especially the original Castlevania, which is why I’ve always seen Simon as the weapon-expert of the Belmonts. Had to include as many of them as I could 😄

😁 Based him on the Chronicles design, like with Simon. That version of the original game always stuck with me, I guess as a big fan of Ayami Kojima’s work.
