I do not understand this weather. It behaves like a mind unmoored from reason. One day, the world is buried beneath a foot of snow, silent and suffocating; the next, we walk in shorts beneath a sun that feels almost mocking.

Things have FOR SURE slowed down progress. Everyone on the team has stuff going on, so overall we've just not been moving as fast as we'd like. But we will finish the game, I promise. We are all committed to finishing the game!
That said, at the end of the day school has just been leaving me beat, med school is hard and I'm not a young man anymore. This is a tumultuous time for a lot of people.
And I will finish it no matter what, I have a contract with 2LeftThumbs, we're doing this and we're not going to cheap-out on it, we're going to do it right.

I'm planning on it being my final hurrah in the gaming industry.
I still have a long ways to go to finish it (I'm a little over halfway done), but it's obviously made me drop off the net more than I expected.
So, I love big complex machines, and our city has a constant need for people to work on/run MRI machines, so I've gone back to school to get my licenses for that. It's been a lot of hard work,
Seeing AI stuff everywhere has just sapped what little love I had left for the industry. Everywhere I look I see this slop, I just don't want to see it anymore.
I'm sure a lot of you have noticed I've been as quiet as a mouse in church. I want to to give a clear and honest update. With AI coming in, and just the general vibe of software development the past few years, I've decided to step back pretty hard from game dev and go into a medical field instead.
Yeah, social media has changed things. It seemed like back when we were kids, a lot of people online were smarter, there were trolls of course. As a kid I thought the internet would unite all the more forward thinking people of the world. The neo-nazis didn't know how to use the internet yet... yet.
It's insane and actually makes me like, emotional feeling. I always take time to try to respond to every message I get like this, and I save many of them. It's nuts and wonderful to me.
That they helped him learn english, and he moved to the united states and has a job now in game dev. And he gave me credit for helping him do this, when all I did was make a silly flash game that meant something to him.
I get the most incredibly kind and touching messages sometimes, in the strangest places. This guy contacted me on reddit, saying he played Alice is Dead, and my other games, when he was 9.

It reminds me of the old newgrounds days, only, it takes a lot longer now to make rooms.
I used to bang out multiple rooms in a day, on Hood I was drawing like 6 rooms a day
But the art was 1/80th the size of this new art for Alice
SO, I should finish a new room tonight on Alice is Dead, pretty stoked.
