Quite. We went from being one of the three most powerful EU members / insiders, with an outsize influence on the EU's rules and exceptions to various ones we didn't like, to being a beggar, pan-handling at the gate and petitioning for favours.
Trump pardons allies who boost his crypto coin.
Trump invests in corporations that he's supposed to be regulating.
Trump cuts deals with autocrats to advance his family's real estate business.
The list goes on.
We must not become numb to this blatant corruption.
So Trump couldn't be bothered telling anyone he was going to start a war with Iran, and now he's begging everyone to come and help him keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
You made this bed, Don, so you can damn well lie in it.
Orban claims he 'isn't rich'. Just like his pal Putin, who officially owns nothing but is believed to be one of the world's richest men. Or like Viktor Yanukovych, the pro-Putin Ukrainian President deposed in 2014, & his luxury bolthole Mezhyhirya, private zoo & all.

This doesn't add up. One day, this 41-year-old Afghani former soldier is picking up his kids from school, and gets arrested by ICE. The next day...he's dead? www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...
Another really cheap night for electricity coming up. But battery is almost full from sun this morning.
Richard Tice:
- engaged in highly aggressive tax avoidance to avoid nearly £600,000 of tax
- did so at a time when the taxpayer was already paying his salary as an MEP

Funny how all the "free speech" warriors go so quiet when actual state censorship comes along.

Not a person whom I'd trust. Something of the swivel-eyed loon about him.
The absolute best case explanation for why Ministers are handing over vast troves of sensitive data to Palantir is that they are breathtakingly naive. Best case because the other explanations are: corruption or that they support its authoritarian, anti-human, far right agenda.
There is pretty broad support for the anti-discrimination laws (though many people don't understand that they protect everybody, men + women, people from majority + minority groups).
But Reform voters are in a different place - so Yusuf's claim Reform would relegislate all the protections is ???

Melanie Stansbury: “Epstein’s own accountant, Richard Kahn, gave contradictory testimony this week about whether or not an accuser of both Epstein & Trump (Jane Doe 4) received a settlement from the Epstein Estate for abuse — He now says he cannot confirm or deny”
"But Trump has blundered in, crushing and trampling all before him, making a bad situation worse. He does not deserve the benefit of the doubt. He does not deserve his war to be assessed charitably. He deserves our contempt."
"His “secretary of war” is a cable TV nonentity high on the smell of death, which he confuses for testosterone. "
Peter Thiel, the arch-villain of Palantir, seems to be totally crazy. Here he is talking quite seriously about "anti-christ" and "apocalypse".

It wasn't a "Military Academy"—it was a reform school.
And that isn't an army uniform—it's a costume from a community theater production of "The Nutcracker."
The SAVE America Act is a voter suppression scam. It would take away the rights of working people to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
The Senate must reject this bill.
That's funny, I could have sworn he said something about not needing Royal Navy vessels because the war was already won.
You broke it Don, you fix it.
A Pentagon recruiter openly offers corruption: “unmatched access to top-level government officials and privileged information flow — whatever you need, you can get.”
