Congratulations to Local 689 members at the Metro Access Call Center for ratifying a strong Union contract!

While CM Parker's amendment to add a surcharge to capital gains income to help pay for ending homelessness, DC's child tax credit, & more didn't pass, we thank the CMs who worked to raise resources for the critical programs that support DC residents with the fewest resources.

For the first time, workers have gotten a contract that treats workers at all three work locations the same, raises wages, & ensures retirement security. Paratransit workers are vital and we are so proud that our MetroAccess WeDriveU members banded together to win this contract!

BREAKING: the results are in and MetroAccess workers operating under WeDriveU have voted with an overwhelming 97% majority to ratify a transformative master contract! 🗳️Ⓜ️🚑
