i guess youtube's recently implemented topic-specific like animations or something along those lines, but the comedy one is unintentionally funny. why is are the little guy's tears of joy red? why have you made him bleed? no video is that funny, please save him.

obviously *some* are going to slip in no matter what, nobody's perfect. but... when there are *clear* signs, and the story just generally has a weird vibe to it...

i think we just have to put our thinking caps more often. media literacy is important even when it comes to reddit posts.

considering the absolute *state* of the internet right now, i feel like you (and this applies to all of us, i think) should make an effort to keep clear of the posts that exist purely for engagement-farming.

considering the fact that the cast (for some inexplicable reason) doesn't have the chance to process what they've heard/read and think their commentary through, it feels like the responsibility lies with whoever prepare(s) the lineup to make sure that the stories are *real*.

whoever compiles the posts for "smosh reads reddit stories" i implore you to lock the fuck in.

but anyway, i love connecting completely unrelated dots! there's something wonderful in noticing similarities (even if they're vibe-based) between two pieces of art belonging to totally different cultures and times.

i've been having a bit of relisten of tma. i'm not in any sort of hurry, so that's why i've only listed the very first episodes of season one.

on the other hand, there are "the piper" (ep. 7), "a father's love" (ep. 9), "dreamer" (ep. 11) and "alone" (ep. 13), to name a few.

and, of course, we can't forget the spiral!

the magnus archives have a certain jorge luis borges vibe to them. or it's the other way around, i'm not sure. or both!

for example, "parabola del palacio" and "el sueño de coleridge" immediately come to mind.
