Following today’s announcement by the UK Government that puberty blockers will be banned indefinitely, I stand in solidarity with the LGBT+ members of UNISON and wider society. Trans rights are human rights.

Democratic public ownership is the way forward and the majority of British people agree!
Profiteering from vulnerable children robs councils of vital resources and has consistently been shown to be bad for children and workers. Government should end this scandal and resource councils to keep children in their communities.
It’s absolutely vital that the Government uses its mandate and majority to deliver a National Care Service. Millions of workers and care and support recipients can’t wait any longer and their voice is crucial to getting this right.
