Half-measuring themselves into oblivion
It's got to be Kimbo espresso haha
We had one foot in big club land and the other foot staying in the same place. Instead of being proactive, we've been reactive, and we are paying the price for it. They say a rising tide lifts all boats, Our got brought down with the anchor we threw out into the sea.
We are no longer on an island of our own when it comes to spending. Teams that normally finished below us developed better recruiting strategies with the influx of cash coming into the league.
We did not adapt to the changing times. We kept our ceiling instead of smashing through as we should have
Spurs don't exist in a vacuum. We can talk until the cows come home about internal problems, but it needs to be put in a wider context.
The Premier League got better. Teams that Spurs would normally beat got better, teams began to operate in the same market as Spurs.
I'm almost lost for words. This group find new ways to disappoint me. I'll take Tel & Gray, sack off the rest.
Honestly.
When we aren't horrible, we are indisciplined.
Frank shoulders a lot of the blame, but Igor's decisions are just as baffling. Square pegs in round holes. Totally embarrassing.
Even when we shut shit in season's past, relegation was an afterthought.
Now, it's the reality....
This was a must win, our captain for the night has lost his head, and we’ve completely capitulated. It’s unforgivable.
Existing governments have more energy to stop the left than the right. They drag their heels to stop the far right because the right wants in on the current economic structure.
Can't fault him tbf
We are where we are because we don't know who we want to be as a club.
We don't all in on spending, strategy, data analytics, playing style, etc...
When you have one foot in and one foot out of anything, nothing is going to work.
Tottenham and Croatians go hand in glove lol
I mean, he kept Marseille where they were supposed to be so I guess it's job well-done lol.
He got Marseille into 3rd place (full season) before the ultras threatened his family.
I did a "Tudorball" save in FM22 when he managed Marseille. It's a high-pressing 3-4-2-1. He's done well in shirt stints and got Marseille to third in 22-33.
He's gone into the Lion's Den willingly. Let's back him. COYS!
The difference in legacy #COYS
People do interviews on the Overlap to save face and control the narrative. I don't know if any of this is coherent, but it just irks me when people go after Tottenham (even when there's truth to what they say).
Maybe Ange realized those things after he got fired. Maybe promises were broken, I don't know. No one puts a gun to a manager's head to coach Spurs. They make a conscious choice to step into the Lion's Den and all the hits that come with it.
I do have mixed feelings about Ange's Overlap interview. I wish he was given a chance, but don't go to bat for something if you dont believe the things you say about it
The main problem is ownership, but it gives managers an easy cop out when things don't go well.
"It's ain't me. It's the club."
You'd think VDV would play for an elite team also.
Yooooo what?!
It will be the first Overlap video I watch from beginning to end lol
I know people have already posted the news, but this is gonna be cinema, haha.
A syncophant does what a syncophant does...
"Niko, it's 'arry. Get your boots on."
I don't know what's worse, waiting 8 months to sack Thomas Frank or hiring our 4th defensive manager out of 5 and telling ourselves, "This time, it's different."?
Looks like we essentially traded a "suicidal" high line for the Maginot Line.

Pablo Torre makes a good argument of how we could be in a "post-winning" era of sports.
It still baffles me that Ange took the Forest job. It was a match made in hell lol.
I think we could have been a serious team under Ange (Frank got the transfer window this summer Ange should have got). The issue with Frank is that we have to change recruitment strategy.
Until Spurs ownership decides to be a proactive ownership group, we are going to be in this situation.
