He was a NURSE. A nurse protecting his community, and he was executed in the street in broad daylight.
My friends have pointed out what is simultaneously the funniest and LEAST funny typo of the year: With the updated vaccine schedule, HHS is definitely ensuring that these diseases will be available to whomever wants them. (From www.hhs.gov/press-room/f...)
If you're looking to max out your charitable contributions for 2025, you have a few hours left to donate to the CDC Mutual Aid Fund. 😀 We're at 86% of our 2025 end-of-year goal! ($215,000 of $250,000)

I can’t stand anybody who wants to tell me consumer-facing LLMs and/or genAI are good. You are trying to convince everyone that it’s actually better to use a knife with no handle. Your hand is bleeding as you tell me handleless knives are inevitable and we need to get used to them or fall behind.
This is certainly the most profound preprint I’ve read since early 2020…
"At Walmart, recalled products were found in stores across 21 states.
In a letter to Target, the health regulator said officials in Arkansas found the company offering a $2 discount on the recalled formula from November 16 to November 22. Target had the formula in stores across 20 states."
wtf is a FIFA peace prize? that's like being an NFL laureate in physics
On this Public Health Thank You Day, we're INCREDIBLY thankful for public health workers around the world - And of course, current and former CDC workers and CDC leaders. In many ways, our work and experience is needed now more than ever. We see you and we appreciate you!
Hard day today
Here's what we think about trusting CDC
This is completely disgusting. Today, the CDC updated their vaccine safety page. It now says:
“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”.
Today we found out that @apha.org is awarding the 2025 Executive Director’s Citation Award to "Staff of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Current and In Exile."
We're not crying - you're crying.

Here in Seattle, furloughed NOAA employees were out in the pouring rain cleaning up beaches yesterday, part of a national week of service organized by federal workers who can't do their jobs due to the shutdown.
Story by @heyjohnryan.bsky.social at KUOW, our federally defunded public radio station.
NEW: @CDCgov hit hard by massive firings that several staff describe to me as a “bloodbath.”
Among those RIFd:
—leadership of the center for immunization and respiratory diseases;
—leadership of global health center
—leadership of the measles outbreak response; 1/4
3 ways to support our Fired CDC colleagues:

People. CDC is Literally being decimated right now. Our hearts are breaking for our colleagues at @altcdc.altgov.info.
You can check out their page to see the growing list of departments affected. They don’t deserve this and America doesn’t deserve this.
Good night, friends.
Tonight was deeply painful.
We at CDC do this work because we care.
It’s long hours, often feeling overworked and not enough pay, but we do it because we want to make the world a better place.
BREAKING: Friday night massacre underway at CDC. Doznes of "disease detectives," high-level scientists, entire Washington staff and editors of the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) have all been RIFed and received the following notice:
Usually, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices uses the GRADE system to assign a body of evidence as high, moderate, low, or very low quality.
Now, however, they appear to be using a different system as outlined in this figure.

slightly ominous mailer from the Red Cross
💬 Viewpoint: The resurgence of #measles and erosion of immunization policy, coupled with declining vaccination rates and undermined public health agencies, threaten to return the US to an era of frequent, preventable disease outbreaks.

No you’re baking your dog’s birthday cake at 10:30pm the night before as if your dog has any concept of birthdays
While still getting paid themselves… unlike 100s of thousands of federal workers!
I keep thinking about the return of vaccine-preventable diseases. Yes, measles is here now… But are we ready for polio to come back?
The American public needs to understand that high-level HHS officials are shamelessly lying to us all.
Tylenol does not cause autism, and Makary, Bhattacharya, and Oz knew this as they stood there next to Trump as he said it did, nodding like bobbleheads.
I’m in!
Point of clarification: Do you mean rich in spirit, or do you need like money 😬
The Top 1% of U.S. earners now have more wealth than the entire middle class

📢Media‼️ -- take note. There is a massive civil rights violation about to blow up in court: CDC "leadership" just banned telework as a reasonable accommodation (RA) for people with disabilities. 🧵
so many dead canaries and we just keep on mining
DELIVERY! RFK Jr's ACIP gets an "F"
We give RFK Jr.’s newly named committee members in charge of vaccine approvals (ACIP) an overall FAILING grade. It's filled with the people who touted mis/dis-information throughout the COVID pandemic.
